Giuseppe De Rosa is the recipients of the ADRITELF award 2020. The award will be assigned during the 12th World Meeting on Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology that will be held in Vienna from 23 March to 26 March 2020.
Associate professor at the Department of Pharmacy of the Federico II University of Naples, he received the PhD in pharmaceutical technology at the University of Cagliari and was post-doc fellow at the University of Paris-Sud. His scientific activity focuses on design and development of drug delivery systems based on micro- and nanotechnologies, especially liposomes and self-assembling nanoparticles for systemic or topical administration. He is author of more than90 papers (H-index: 32) on peer review journals, different book chapters and patent applications/granted (with granted PCT, US and EU patent). One of the patented product under development and granted with the orphan designation by EMA and FDA. For his research activity, he received awards, e.g. by the Italia Associarion of Pharmaceutica Companies (AFI), and different financial support by MIUR (Italian Minister for the University and Research), Ministero della Salute (Italian Minister of Health), Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico (MISE), Regione Campania and by the Phospholipid Research Center of Heidelberg. He received also fundings by pharmaceutical companies. He is member of the editorial board in journal in the field of pharmaceutics. He is also member of the Board ADRITELF Italy Chapter, was member of the Board of the Controlled Release Society Italy Chapter, and is member of Centro di Ricerca Interdipartimentale sui Biomateriali of Naples and of the Phospholipid Research Center of Heidelberg.
